The third step is to make the thin layer of the soil around an inch in the porous tray. The soil needs to be evenly distributed in the tray and should be firmly pressed. The soil is optional as wheat grass can grow without the soil of any kind.

The fourth step is to gently spray the wheat sprout in the tray firmly. There is the need of constant watering at least two times a day by foliar spray for around seven days.

After, seven days the wheat grass is ready to harvest and can be consumed. It is safe to harvest twice and thrice times.
